After restarting this scarf THREE times I am finally done with it. It's curled up like cheap bacon at the moment, so I won't post a photo of it yet. I'm going to steam block it and then we'll see what it looks like.

I also made two more Harry Potter potion necklaces.

The Phoenix Tears necklace is for my mom and the Amortentia is just for sale.

I have to get more supplies if I am to make more, I have one chain left, so I'll have to get more. I'll probably be heading to Oshkosh next week sometime, so I'll be able to get more chains and charms.

I forgot to take a photo of my mom's friend's neck warmer I made, so here it is a little late!

Perty, huh?

Anyway, I just wanted to update ya'll.

Have a good Christmas.

Full of Sparkles...

So! I said I'd get those pictures up of the fabrics, so here they are:

They are all from St. Vincent de Paul, all varying prices. $.75 - $2.00

And now, to introduce my other niece, Aubrey JoAnn!
Isn't she so precious?

I am starting a new adventure. I'm hoping it's a good one. I've started to make Harry Potter potion necklaces. I've made six so far....

(From the left.)
1. "Acromantula Venom" with spider charm.
2. "Basilisk Venom" with snake charm.
3. "Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder" with star charm.
4. "Dragon Blood" with dragon charm.
5. "Unicorn Blood" with star charm.
6. "Felix Felicis" with a horse shoe charm.

I am selling these for $10 each plus shipping.

There are other "potions" available too. I can make custom orders. Any color, with or without glitter. Or anything you want the label to read; such as "Poison" or "Fairy Dust" just let me know what you would like. It doesn't have to be Harry Potter related.

  1. Acromantula Venom
  2. Basilisk Venom
  3. Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder
  4. Dragon Blood
  5. Unicorn Blood
  6. Felix Felicis
  7. Pumpkin Juice
  8. Wolfsbane Potion
  9. Amortentia
  10. Veritaserum
  11. Living Death
  12. Polyjuice Potion
  13. Basilisk Blood
  14. Butterbeer
  15. Sleeping Draught
  16. Phoenix Tears
  17. Elixir of Life
  18. Flesh Eating Slug Repellent
  19. Mandrake Draught
I like how they turned out so far, how about you? The only downside to making these is the glitter. I have it everywhere.. Ugh! But at least they look pretty sweet.

They make great stocking stuffers for any PotterHead!

Been A While

Jeesh, it's been quite a while since I've updated.

Let me start off by saying I AM NOW A COLLEGE GRADUATE! YIPPEE!!! I can now get a *real* job.

Let's see, I haven't thrifted too much lately. Been working on getting done with school.

I think the last thing I thrifted was like a red cardigan frocky thing. (Photos to follow.)

Looks sorta dorky on the hanger and probably is dorky looking on me, but it's comfy.

This is another thing I thrifted for $.29.

A teeny tiny sewing machine.
I've mostly been just working and focusing on school. Now all I have to do is buy review books and take my state licensing test and I will get a job. Woo for real life, right?

Anyway, I'm knitting more. I made two neckwarmers for people for Christmas. I only have photos of one because well, I'm sorta dumb and forgot to take pictures of the other one.

The other one is baby blue and ribbed. Super pretty.

Otherwise I've been working on my Christmas Scarf. Here. I had to frog it twice and I ended up making it super wide when I started over. It's taking forever and I hate it.

I'm currently reading Stiff by Mary Roach, it's an excellent book. Give it a go if it looks like something you'd enjoy.

Also, I just want to share teh cutes; that owl hat I made for Chase? He finally got it.

Isn't he adorable?

Anyway, hopefully more thrifting is in my future. Oh I forgot, I bought some material too, but I'll have to post that tomorrow night. I have to get to bed since I have to be up at 5:15-5:30am.

G'night yall.

So So So Busy!!!!!

Oh my god! I have been so busy, it's not even funny. Work is hell because it's the Hellidays. So working at a department store, you pretty much just get raped every night. How fun. Also, I'm in my last semester of school and my last class of school so I've been trying to get that all done. The 14th is my last day for school (hopefully FOREVER, so hopefully after that I'll be around a lot more. I haven't done much in the way of photography or thrifting. I mostly have been knitting lately. Gotta get them Christmas presents done, you know. Other than that, not much has been going on. One of my bffs had her baby this past week. yay!! A healthy baby girl.

I just wanted to update everyone who actually cares about where I've been as of late.

Handmade III

We went to the capitol this past week. Got some awesome photos. This is just one of them.

Madison, Wi.

Me being a dork in the marble bathroom at the capitol.

I made this neck warmer. :)

I made this neck warmer also. :D

This is my knitting needle satchel I made out of cotton fabric. Obviously it's not full yet.

Thanks to Kelli, I made this into a pin cushion.

I made this neck warmer for my mom's friend. :)
Just wanted to quick update. I've been super busy with school and work now that it's the Hellidays. Working at a department store has beaten the Christmas spirit out of me. :(

Anyway, these are what I've all done in the last few weeks.

This is the holiday scarf I'm currently working on.
Just a quick update!

Handmade II

So, I finally got around to using those old sweaters I had bought.

Sweater boots! (Yes, I realize one is longer than the other. I'm still learning, cut me some slack.)

Hat and mittens!
These (obviously) are from the same sweater. You might remember This Sweater from an earlier post. And for the boots, you might remember These Shoes from an earlier post also.

A cardigan I made! You might remember This Sweater from an earlier post. I just cut it down the middle and made a cardigan out of it. I didn't put buttonholes or buttons or anything  on it since 95% of the time I don't button my cardis.

I made a hat for my dear friend, Tracey. This is to match her daughter's hat.

Tracey's daughter, Gabbi.

This is a little owl I made out of felt and pieces of a tie. I plan on putting this on a sweater to embellish it.

I made another neck warmer thing. Although, I made it pretty wide, like almost too wide, but it still works.

I got the super dork face going on there.

I also want to share what I thrifted last week, as I forgot to post. (Oops!)
$2.00; St. Vincent de Paul. NAVY cowboy boots! NAVY!

$1.99; Goodwill. It's a little candle thingy.

$.49; Goodwill. It is an Avon perfume powder bottle. I dumped out the powder, as it stunk like butt.

$.75; St. Vincent de Paul. I hate this yarn.

$1.00; St. Vincent de Paul. I hate this yarn also. But as you can see, I'm knitting something with it.
I just wanted to quick put up my finds. :)

I also just wanted to share the fact that I love Fall!

That is all! Have a good day!

HAND MADE!!!! (Photo Heavy)

I'm so excited! I made ALL of this stuff by myself.

Aaaaaannnndddddd..... commence the photos!

You might recognize this fabric from This Sweater from an earlier post. I made a hat and mittens set out of it like I had wanted. But, I made the mittens and hat a tad small. They fit, but it's tight. And with the mittens, I have to whip stitch the bottoms because I don't think I'll be able to sew them on my machine.

I'm like, the gangsta of crafting.

I made this owl hat with inspiration from Lee Meredith okay, not so much inspiration as blatant thievery.  You might recognize the fabric from This Sweater from an earlier post.

This hat is for meeee!

Just me rocking the sweet owl hat.

These hats are for all the little people in my life.
The first rounded hat is for Aubrey, the second is for Gabbi, and the last one is for Chase. I hope their mommies find them as cute as I do!

I knitted these wrist cuffs. :) I know one is a little bigger than the other. I forgot how many stitches the first one was, so I guessed. I was off by like 5 stitches.
Knitting gangsta.

I knitted this but I dropped a stitch and I tried to fix it and this is what is is now. What shall I do with this?

This is a neck cozy thingy I made. The big green button is the one that hols it together. The other two are just decorations.

Just me sporting the neck thing.

This is the stuff I thrifted today also.
$3.00; St. Vincent de Paul. Just an old wool sweater for crafts.

$2.00; St. Vincent de Paul. A brown sweater for crafting.

$2.00; St. Vincent De Paul. A cardigan for wearing.

And from that brown sweater I bought today, I made my dear friend, Kay, an owl hat too!
I have to send it all the way to Canadia. I hope she likes it and I hope it gets there!
That is all.

My allergies are kicking my ass. I feel awful so I'm going to bed early.

G'night yall.

There are a few items from maybe a week ago that I forgot o put up. So, I'm just going to lump them together with today's find.

$1.99; Goodwill. Very 70's! I had to replace the cord because it was all gross and old. It was a fire hazard, so I went to Wal Mart and bought a cord and played electrician for about 15 minutes. :D Isn't it rad-sauce?

$2.00; St. Vincent de Paul. A little old kerosene lamp. I plan on afro engineering this into a small electrical lamp. I'm so excited. I did that with a larger kerosene lamp. (I'll show you at the end of this post.)

$.75; St. Vincent de Paul. Just some wacky awesome fabric.

$1.00; St. Vincent de Paul. Just some super cool yarn. I knitted the washcloth looking thingy. I dropped a few stitches so it looks wonky, but hey, I'm just learning. :)
And now, to my other lamp..

It wasn't a thrifted lamp though, it was brand new from Wal Mart for $5. Plus the bulb holder and the cord. My bestie Emily helped my make it. She has a red one that I just love, so I wanted to make a black one. But I still love it. It sits on my bedside table.
Anyway, those are the most recent finds! I hope you enjoy!
